Sea Butterfly, or an Angel?

Sea Angels and Sea Butterflies have developed something other snails can only dream of: wings. Both suborders have changed their Gastropod “foot” into parapodia, or “wing feet”. These allow Pteropods to spend their entire lives in the water column (a holopelagic lifecycle) as opposed to crawling along the bottom as their ground-dwelling (benthic) cousins do.
