Introductions

Studying one subject has never been enough for me.

All through school, I have run into the problem of wanting to study everything. Going to university, I settled on engineering (thinking that maybe a more focussed degree would help me focus – didn’t happen like that…) then geological engineering. Since then, my formal studies have been centred on the sciences, particularly earth sciences. I find them fascinating, and amazingly interconnected, and studying them lets me mix in physics and chemistry and natural philosophy and biology and, and, and…. but studying the sciences left little time for writing, which I discovered I greatly missed.

So here is this blog. It will contain entries on pretty much anything that catches my eye, with a likely focus on earth sciences and climate science. Sometimes it will pull from the news, and sometimes from my life, and always something my magpie mind finds interesting. If you have an idea of something you want me to write about, let me know! I would love feedback.

I hope you enjoy learning about things here as much as I do!
